The Medisense Precision Insulin Syringe is the smaller version syringe made specifically for self-administration of insulin for diabetic patients. The benefit of this smaller syringe is that it has markings that are wider apart so it is easier to read, making it a useful attribute if you have vision problems. This Medisense Precision Insulin Syringe has a shorter needle as well measuring 5/16" which makes it not bend as easily as other needles. The short needle has an advantage for those that lack fatty tissue of preventing them injecting their insulin too far in, into the muscle instead of into the subcutaneous tissue. Besides being painful this cause the insulin to be absorbed much more quickly and hypoglycemia can occur.
