Product Information

Novolin® R (regular insulin) is the standard basic form of insulin used to treat diabetes. It is available without a prescription. The drug is a short-acting insulin used to help control the spike in blood sugar that occurs after meals. It is typically used in combination with a long-acting insulin.

Novolin R Insulin Features:

Rapid Onset: begins to reduce blood sugar within 30 minutes of injection and reaches a peak effect at 1-3 hours.
Short Duration of Action: Its effects last 6-8 hours which decreases risk for post-prandial hypoglycemia.
Administration: given as subcutaneous injections or in some cases intravenous.

10 ml vial of Novolin R Insulin, (100 units/ml)

Use with U-100 insulin syringes only.
Shake carefully before use.
Contraindicated intramuscularly.
For dosage and administration follow your medical care provider instructions.
