Simple Ways to Become More Active

If you hate running and going to the gym, you should know that these are not the only ways that you can maintain a healthy weight. It is easier than you think to become more active. You can increase the number of chores that you do each day or turn your hobbies into fitness workouts. Every actively can make a difference. Here are some ways to help you become more active.

Chores:

If you have a lawn, consider doing the work yourself. You might take up the gardening or rake the leaves on your own. When you do chores, you should take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator.

 

Parking:

When you go to the store, opt for the stairs for more exercise. You can also try parking further away or walking to the store instead so that you get more exercise.

Talk Walks:

Going out for a walk to the park or setting up a time to walk with a friend can help you to add more active behaviors to your daily routine. Even shopping with a friend can burn more calories as long as you don’t stop at the food court!
