The Bayer Contour Control Solution is designed to check the accuracy of your glucose meter and test strips. Simply apply a drop of this glucometer control solution to a test strip and run a standard glucose test. Confirm that the test results are within the accepted range printed on the test strip vial. It is advised to test your glucose meter and strips accuracy on a regular basis. Designed for use with the Bayer Contour or Microfill glucose meters only.

How to Use Control Solution to Perform a Proper Control Test:

Apply a drop of the contour control solution to the test strip (instead of blood), then compare the test results to the control range located on your test strip's vial. If the results are in the control range, your glucose meter is functioning correctly. If the results are outside the control range, it is advised to contact the meter's manufacturer immediately.

Bayer Contour Blood Sugar Monitor

It appears to be a nice little unit, and the control strips are cheaper than the first monitor I used. The strips are not coded, so they have a longer shelf life than the other monitor also. It seems to be fairly accurate for sugar levels. It may be a little small for some hands.

Good Choise

This meter, and it's test strips, work very well. The tolerances for the test strips are reasonable, as diabetics need accurate results to manage their diabetes. Recommended.

Bayer Contour Glucose Meter

This meter is excellent & SO QUICK. This meter takes only 5 seconds for test results as compared to my old Bayer Ascencia Meter that took 15 seconds for the test results. I have MS with problems using my hands, & this is a nice size meter & easy for me to hold & use.
